|
|
Lake City, FL (June 24, 2009) Columbia Motorsports Park will host a Sportsman 50 this Saturday night along with the Pure Stocks, V-8 Bombers, Hornets and Queen Bee Hornets. Plenty of racing action on a hot, steamy June night in Florida.
Brian Hull leads the Sportsman points this year with Jeff Prescott in second followed by Bobby Ford, Gordon Cade and Mike Marcellino. Prescott already has 6 wins under his belt and is only 11 points behind points leader Hull. All these guys and more are expected Saturday night as they go for 50 laps of Sportsman action.
Pure Stock points are as follows:
1. 26 James Cook 327 (3) 2. 18 John Roling 261 (2) 3. 22 Randy O'Neal 225 (2) 4. 39 Tim Alldredge 197 (1) 5. 6 Leonard Arnold 137
As you can see, it is a real tight race thur far in this division. Can Cook possibility finally unseat Roling has who been an undefeatable champion the last few years?? You will need to be there to find out.
Mark Chinell has a huge points lead in the V-8 Bombers and looks to be the man to beat in 2009. Rob Rye, Jason Floyd, Curtis Harry and Shawn DeSotle complete the top five.
Justin Ellison leads the Hornet division with 504 points, 126 points more than second place Bert Daugherty. Following Bert is another Daugherty - Wesley Daughtery. Ed Petrow and To ny Kuhr complete the top five.
With three wins under her belt this year, it is Judy Daugherty leading the newest division at Columbia - the Queen Bee Hornets. Kim Alldredge stands second followed by Megan Chinell and Angie Daugherty. These ladies may be learning now but they are having a ball out on the track.
